Compassionate care for
expecting families
Hi, I'm Rechelle (The Nerdy Doula).
I bring both professional training and lived
experience to my work as a postpartum doula.
I trained with Grounded Beginnings Birth,
a BIPOC-focused program, and
gained hands-on experience in
public health interning with Black Infant Health,
Future Physician Leaders, and other community
health organizations.
I also draw from my personal journey
advocating for family members with
special needs. After beginning
on a pre-med track,
I pivoted into doula work to create
deeper, one-on-one connections with families.
My mission:
To reduce maternal health disparities through culturally competent, relationship-centered doula care, and to support families in creating safe, empowered postpartum experiences.

The fourth trimester can be an emotional roller-coaster. I will support you through any challenges that may arise.
To help parents rest, recover, and feel confident with their newborn.
Feeding support (breast/bottle/pumping) • Light household help • Soothing techniques
